UNI 11265 STANDARD INSTALLATION WOOD -. FLOORING

Stable requirements of the UNI 11265: 2007: Wood flooring, Laying - Skills, responsibility and Conditions

DESIGNER'S OBLIGATIONS The law notes that "The designer compete the following operational areas and responsibilities:

It should, in particular, for each of the building components (floors) to be installed, the designer indicates the following characteristics:

- Size / type of the elements ie speed (tablets, multilayer elements, etc.).

- Any drawings or borders;

- Laying geometry (quarterdeck, herringbone, etc.).

- Type of installation (glued, nailed, float);

- Type of support (cement, quick-drying, heating, etc.).

- Type of adhesive (vinyl, two-component, etc.).

- Type of finish (water-based varnish, wax finish, matt / glossy, etc.). ".

OBLIGATIONS OF THE PROJECT MANAGER

In accordance with the UNI 11265, the Director of the work has the task, relative to wood flooring, perform the following steps:

- "Check the conformity of construction work to the instructions and recommendations of the project";

- "Examination of samples and procedures for acceptance of products";

- "Verification of the correct storage of the elements of the pavement and materials

complementary, pending the pose ";

- "Reporting to the customer of any changes with respect to the project";

- "Coordination of construction activities";

- "Compliance of the conditions of application of products with the indications provided by various operators";

- "Performing final checks of the floor";

- "Protection of the floors until delivery."

OBLIGATIONS OF THE SELLER

The same rule, UNI 11265, specifies that the Dealer of the elements of wood, must provide:

- "The maintenance of appropriate storage conditions of the product until the time of delivery";

- "The guarantee of the marketed product in terms of quality and intrinsic properties of the materials declared, including any defects that may arise after the flooring installation, if they are clearly due to the product and not apparent at the time of installation";

- "The delivery of technical documentation, in accordance with the standards of the product and the existing legal provisions, containing information and instructions (product sheet)."

OBLIGATIONS OF THE INSTALLER

The Posatore, a specialist who assumes the completion of the service of installation of the

wood flooring, has "responsibilities inherent in the stages of the laying of the flooring, which must meet the requirements set out in the project. The worker, prior to installation, is responsible for the following controls:

- Suitability of the support (humidity, altitude, flatness, horizontality, surface hardness, absence of cracks and fissures not firm, level surface roughness, cleaning);

- Examination, the director works and / or the builder, the ability to access the different floors and use devices and lifting equipment already available;

- Verification of the levels of other types of flooring may exist;

- Evaluation and confirmation by the client and / or designer, the geometry of installation.

The worker must report any non-conformities to the builder / project manager / developer before starting the installation.

That the layer is also responsible the following operational areas and responsibilities:

- Preparation of the subbase or verification of same, if prepared by others;

- Reporting to the builder / project manager / buyer, before you start and / or during the installation, any defects or faults against the elements for flooring and complementary materials;

- Reporting to the customer of any changes during the installation compared to the indications executive;

- Selection and use of supplementary materials and procedures suitable, or in accordance with those which may be indicated in the technical documentation delivered with elements for flooring;

- Provision of specific apparatus and appropriate;

- Communication with the director of works and the security officer mode, timing and safety issues at work in the conduct of its business;

- Provision for temporary storage of construction of packaging waste and residues from processing using the appropriate containers provided by the builder;

- Elimination of any imperfections related to its performance recorded at the time of testing or for a general revision of the floors and / or at the time of delivery of the premises;
